First off, thanks so much for visiting and supporting this site. It’s been seven years since we started this site, and it began completely on a whim as I posted random stories online about buying wine at Costco. At that point I never thought it would have the readership and following that it does now. So thanks for being a part of it. And a special thanks to Michael and Josh for helping me review all this wine.
As many of you know, towards the end of every year, I like to go back through the reviews and spotlight some of the Costco wines that we enjoyed the most. You are free of course to add to this list in the comments, so let us know about some of the gems that you discovered at Costco this year too.
As it pertains to all items at Costco, many of these wines are likely long gone from your warehouse. But you never know. We’ve seen a few bottles of long ago re-emerge unexpectedly. So keep an eye out. Let us know what you think of the list. And thanks again for following the site.

2006 Canonica a Cerreto Sandiavolo Toscana
This is why you shop at Costco. Because you never know when you might run into an aged Super Tuscan like this for $25 that was outstanding.
2013 Kirkland Signature Chateauneuf du Pape
I went pretty big on this year’s KS Chateauneuf giving it 93 points, but I think it was well deserved. This is a great buy at $20 if you can still find them.
2013 Schug Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Josh, our resident Pinot guru, loved this wine which he rated 92 points.
2011 David Moret Puligny-Montrachet
A fantastic White Burgundy from one of my favorite regions. $45, but worth it. 91 points. (PS I saw this one in one of the Atlanta area Costcos recently so they might still be out there).
2012 Neyers Carneros Chardonnay
This is always a fan favorite and it’s one of mine too. A great, food friendly Chardonnay for around $20. 91 points.
2012 Shea Wine Cellars Estate Pinot Noir
Josh found this to be a complex and full-bodied Oregon Pinot Noir which he gave 91 points.
2012 Ramos Premium Red Alentejano
An absolute gem of a red wine drinking perfectly right now for only $16. 91 points.
2001 La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904
An incredible buy on a top Rioja. For $40, this is one of the best buys I saw all year long. 93 Points.
But the year’s not over yet. We have more reviews coming. Stay tuned, and let us know below what some of your favorite wines of the year were in 2015.
